(Potentially final) Demo Update


Demo updated!

I made a lot of changes:

  • Damage / Healing display: shows numbers representing damage received and dealt. In addition, an indication when the Dash Gauge is recharged has been added.
  • Overhauled Options Menu: Now allows toggle for Vibration, Screen Flash and new Damage/Healing display settings.
  • New Dash Kick combined command: Pressing B on Gamepad / D on Keyboard triggers Dash Kick automatically. (Still requires full Dash Gauge.)
  • New Backflip command: Pressing LB on Gamepad / A on Keyboard triggers Backflip on the ground.
  • New opening level added featuring Dash Kick / Rebound training.
  • Attack damage values rebalanced. Stomp, Charge Kick, Rebound and Kick Cannon are much stronger. Split Kick and Uppercut fall in the middle and other moves are weaker. Charge levels provide larger damage boosts and damage reduces Charge level by smaller amounts as opposed to reducing by an entire level. Level 3 is easier to reach, features a huge damage buff and can now be maintained longer by continuing to hit targets, but being damaged greatly reduces it. Attacking enemies while at Level 3 restores health.
  • Credits added to Options Menu (and at end of game).
  • New Title Screen.
  • Numerous minor changes to levels and enemy behavior.
  • Updated instructional images describing controls for both keyboard and gamepad usage.

Also, all layouts and cutscenes are complete, including the very final layout. Rolling credits have been added to the game.

The project is nearing completion!
